Howrah Bridge is a suspension bridge and is one of the longest bridges in the world. It stands on two huge pillars. The over 280-foot-tall pier is anchored to the river bed with two massive concrete blocks. The distance between these two pillars is 1500 feet. So if there is too much weight on it, it may break.

In fact, when the Howrah Bridge was built during the British period, the engineers thought that the pillars on either side could not carry more than 25,000 tons. And according to intellectuals, the time for any bridge to collapse is 12 o'clock. But they didn't mention whether it was 12 noon or 12 midnight.

And according to that, all vehicles are stopped for 3-4 minutes between noon and 12 midnight. However, there is no scientific explanation for this data. The bridge is regularly maintained but the structure of the bridge has started to rust. The bridge is getting damaged due to human drinking and animal excrement.
