Science and Technology Desk: The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has removed the maximum 6 GHz band share barrier from the national spectrum allocation policy. The Commission has opened up the opportunity to share the 5925 to 6425 MHz frequency range of this band with cellular mobile networks including Wi-Fi or IoT and wireless LAN.

Director of BTRC wave department. Md. This has been confirmed in the notification regarding the signing of Sohail Runner. Although the letter was signed on September 15, it was published on Sunday (September 29).

According to the information in the notification, in order to provide services on a commercial basis in this band, approval of the commission must be obtained before allocation of waves, import and use of radio equipment.

BTRC director Sohail Rana said that removing the band share limit will remove capacity constraints of service providers and reduce latency at the level of broadband internet users. He said, by doing this, broadband customers can comfortably use the Internet at full speed on the Wi-Fi network.

As a result of the Commission's approval, Internet service providers will now feel comfortable in providing wireless Internet services using Wi-Fi routers, says technician and CTO of Fiber at Home Suman Ahmed Sabir.

He said that the services they were providing in the 2.4 and 5.7 GHz bands for so long were not meeting the customer demand. Confused. It can be used as it is free bandwidth. As a result, there will be a significant positive change in the country's broadband internet speed due to the opening of the 6 GHz band. Home Wi-Fi speed will increase. Performance will be good.

ICC Communication Managing Director Saiful Islam Siddique also welcomed the initiative. He said that it will be possible to reach the broadband network using this spectrum even in river banks, remote areas and where there is no NTTN network. But it runs on line of site system. So there cannot be any obstruction in the way of the network.

Something all girls need but don't get

Saiful Islam said, using this bandwidth as a non-licensed frequency, various applications can be connected through network deployment through point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and mass network topology. Where NTTN does not have facilities, it will be useful to extend the freed wireless broadband network.
