The incident took place in front of Mandal Group's factory in Jirabo area on Tongi-Ashulia-EPZ road around 11:30 on Monday.
The deceased worker's name is Kausar Hossain Khan (27). He is a factory worker of Mango Tex Limited in Jirabo area of ​​Ashulia. The duty manager of Enam Medical College Hospital confirmed his death around 2 pm. Yusuf Ali.

Initially, the names of two people who were shot were reported among the injured. They are Habib, a worker of Natural Denims and Nazmul Hasan, a worker of Natural Indigo Factory. The names of the other injured are not known. Two injured workers have been admitted to PMK Hospital and two to Enam Medical College Hospital.


The workers said that a tripartite meeting was going on in the morning with the representatives of the Mandal Group workers, the owners and the law enforcement agencies. As there was no agreement, the workers took a position outside the factory. Later workers from other factories started gathering there. Meanwhile, the law and order forces and the workers stood face to face. Meanwhile, the members of the law and order forces started lathicharge. The workers vandalized some RAB and police vehicles. Later, when the workers became more agitated, the police opened fire to bring the situation under control. When 5 workers were shot, they were rescued and admitted to the local PMK Hospital and Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.
