Jumbangla Desk: The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has alleged that factories have been set on fire and vandalized following rumors of disappearances. The organization says that the entrepreneurs of the garment sector are dissatisfied with the safety of the factory. Their complaint is that arson and vandalism are being done on the basis of rumors of disappearance. Timely cooperation of law and order forces is not getting.

BGMEA Senior Vice President Abdullah Hill Rakib said this in a press conference on Monday.

The senior vice-president of BGMEA said, "We are demanding security, otherwise our factories will be damaged due to labor unrest."


In the press conference, the factory owners said that despite the 18-point demands of the workers, there is still dissatisfaction in the garment sector. Because some quarters are spreading rumors taking advantage of the deteriorating law and order situation.
