243 weapons recovered in 26 days in joint operation, 110 arrested

Jumbangla Desk: 243 weapons have been recovered in the last 26 days across the country in the ongoing operation of the joint forces to recover illegal weapons. Besides, 110 people have been arrested.
This information was informed in a circular published by the police headquarters on Monday (September 30).
According to the notification, these recovered weapons include 13 revolvers, 67 pistols, 14 rifles, 31 shotguns, 6 pipe guns, 24 shotguns, 25 LG guns, 39 guns, 1 AK47, 2 gas guns, 5 air guns, 7 SBBLs, 5 SMGs, tear gas. 2 gas launchers and 2 three-quarters.
Incidentally, the joint forces started the operation to recover illegal weapons from last September 4. Earlier, the police headquarters ordered to deposit the looted weapons and ammunition by September 3. It is also informed that legal action will be taken against them if they do not submit within that time.
On September 3, a small message sent from the police headquarters informed that two thousand and 66 police weapons looted from different police stations in the country during the anti-discrimination movement have not been recovered. It was also reported that 320 thousand 660 bullets, 8 thousand 905 tear gas cells, 2 thousand 576 sound grenades, 751 tear gas grenades were not recovered.
