He said this in a meeting at Agargaon election building in the capital on Monday (September 30) afternoon.

He said, 'We have appointed officials to prevent Rohingyas from becoming voters. We will take action against whoever is involved in making them voters. A complaint has been received from the ACC, the investigation is ongoing.'


Regarding the harassment of one person's fingerprints with another's, the secretary said, 'From now on, you will not have to come to Dhaka. The solution can be found in the upazila office. The matter has become decentralized. You will get service at the field level.'


Shafiul Azim said, 'Even if there is no commission, there is no pending work of the EC Secretariat. EC is working towards providing service simplification, people friendly and corruption free NID services. The service seekers cannot be harassed in any way.'

 

The EC Secretary said that the EC Secretariat is working with special importance to the expatriates. Expatriate voting is underway in 7 countries. This program will be done first in countries where there are more Bangladeshis.
