Own Correspondent, Gazipur: Joint forces have arrested 8 people on charges of vandalizing a garment factory in Konabari of Gazipur city. On Monday (September 30) in the afternoon, Ambag P. under Konabari Thana. N. They were arrested in front of the Composite Limited factory .

The arrested persons are Sajib (22), Alauddin (20), Manju (31), Samrat (22), Mosharraf Hossain (20), Shakeel (23), Hriday Mondal (22) and Moazzem Ali (19). Joint forces handed them over to Konabari police station.
The matter was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Konabari Police Station, Nazrul Islam.
According to police and local sources, workers of MM Knitwear Limited factory protested by blocking the Konabari-Ambagh regional road demanding increase in tiffin bill, night bill and attendance bonus on Monday afternoon. Later they located in Ambag P. N. Composite Limited vandalized in front of the factory.
The angry workers broke the main gate of the factory and the glass of the building. On receiving the news, the Industrial Police, Metro Police, RAB, BGB, Army members came to the spot and explained the situation to the workers and normalized the situation. At this time, 8 people were arrested for vandalism.
P. N. Khalekuzzaman, admin manager of the Composite Limited factory, said, 'Our workers were released earlier. But workers from a neighboring factory came and vandalized our factory.'
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Konabari Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, said, 'The detainees have been handed over to us some time ago. Legal action is pending against them.'
