Jumbangla Desk: Five people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours in the country. With this, a total of 163 people have died of dengue this year. Of these, 80 people died in September alone, which is the highest number of dengue deaths in any month this year.
And 1152 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in 24 hours. A total of 30 thousand 938 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital since January 1 this year. 63 percent of them are male and 37 percent are female.
This information was given in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Monday.
It said that 70 people were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours in Barisal Division (outside City Corporation), 233 in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 219 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 252 in Dhaka North City Corporation, Dhaka South. There are 187 people in City Corporation, 86 people in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation), 27 people in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation), 40 people in Rajshahi Division (outside City Corporation), 38 people in Rangpur Division (outside City Corporation).
In 24 hours, 982 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country. A total of 27 thousand 313 people have received clearance in this year.
It should be noted that a total of 1,705 people died of dengue last year. And a total of 321 thousand 179 people were admitted to the hospital.
