Jumbangla Desk: Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has expressed deep concern that the decision to cancel the coordination committee formed for revision and revision of all textbooks prepared and printed by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) is against the non-communal spirit of Bangladesh and indicative of the compromise behavior of the interim government.

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) commented that the interim government has set a worrisome and risky precedent by compromising with the fundamentalist threat when it comes to policy decisions.

In a statement, the executive director of TIB. Iftekharuzzaman said, we observe with alarm, efforts to create an atmosphere of apprehension and threat by spreading malice, hatred, hatred against non-communal consciousness and pluralism are gradually taking a more intense form.

In the statement, he said, the interim government is compromising by giving in to the propaganda and threats of such self-interested circles. An alarming example of this is the cancellation of the Textbook Revision and Revision Coordinating Committee.

On the one hand, the issue is an example of compromise with the fundamentalism and communalism of the government, and on the other hand, it is a travesty to the aspirations of "New Bangladesh" for a non-discrimination, non-communal and democratic Bangladesh.
