Jumbangla Desk: Two students named Saiful Islam Arif and Karimul Islam have died due to violence during the anti-discrimination student movement. Saiful Islam Arif died on Monday (September 30) while undergoing treatment at Dhaka CMCH Hospital. Karimul Islam died on the same day at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

It is known that the house of Saiful Islam Arif (21) is in Kaushala village of Daganbhunya upazila of Feni district.
He studied in class 10 in a madrasa in Daganbhujan. He was injured by a stick in Chittagong during the quota movement on August 4. He died at CMH hospital in Dhaka on Monday after long treatment.
Altab Hossain, the father of the deceased, said that Saiful suffered a serious head injury in the violence of the quota movement in Chittagong's CRB area on August 4.
Later that day he was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Later, he was admitted to Dhaka's CMH Hospital on September 9 for better treatment.
Confirming the truth of the information, Cantonment police station sub-inspector SI Md. Solaiman Haque said, 'Saiful's body was recovered from CMH hospital at 11:30 am on Monday. Later his body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
On the other hand, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination movement, Umama Fatema, said that Karimul Islam died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday morning. The deceased Karimul's house is in Habiganj. He was shot in Jatrabari on August 5. His funeral was held today at 5:30 pm at Jatiya Shaheed Minar.
