Sonali bank looted Tk 7 lakh by hacking two women officers

Jumbangla Desk: Miscreants have robbed Sonali Bank of Tk 7 lakh 84 thousand by openly shooting blanks and hacking two women officers including members of Ansar in Gazipur.
On Sunday (September 29) at around 4:30 pm, the robbery took place in Rathkhola area adjacent to Gazipur Stadium.
The injured are Atika Parveen, principal officer in charge of Sonali Bank's Tajuddin Medical Branch, cash officer Farzana Nazneen, Ansar members Raju and Al Amin.
Shahiduzzaman, AGM of Gazipur Court Building branch of Sonali Bank, said that there is a sub-branch of Sonali Bank in Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital. There, the salaries and allowances of the officials and other transactions related to the organization are done. Ansar and officers were returning to the main branch with money in an auto rickshaw in the afternoon after the whole day's transactions on Sunday.
On the way, 10-12 motorcycle-riding youths fired blank bullets at the Rajbari road divider in front of the stadium and stopped them. Later, two officers and Ansars were cut and injured and snatched 7 lakh 8 thousand 374 taka. The injured were rescued and taken to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police. Rahedul Islam said that the incident of stealing money from Sonali Bank is being viewed very seriously. Senior police officials visited the spot.
