Jumbangla Desk: After a few days of rain in the central part of Ashwin, the scorching heat that is being felt across the country may be followed by another day of rain.

Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said in the media on Sunday afternoon, "Vapsa heat is felt in most parts of the country. It may persist for one more day and subside from the next day.

"Also, rains are likely to occur in almost all parts of the country from Tuesday, and rains may continue for three to four days."


According to the regular bulletin of the Meteorological Department at 9 am on Sunday, Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh in most places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Some places of Dhaka division and one or two places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers.

And, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. The highest temperature in the country was recorded in Jessore in the last 24 hours; 32.8 degrees Celsius. And the minimum temperature of 22.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tentulia.

During this period, the highest rainfall was 37 mm in Mymensingh's Netrakona. Besides, Sylhet recorded 32 mm, Tentulia 30 mm, Dinajpur 28 mm, Nilphamari Dimla 24 mm rainfall.
