Jumbangla Desk: Chief Advisor of the Interim Government. A delegation of agitators seeking age limit of 35 for government jobs concluded the meeting at Jamuna, residence of Muhammad Yunus.
Today Monday (September 30) around 5:30 pm, a delegation of the protestors chief advisor to the interim government. Muhammad entered the Yamuna, the abode of Yunus.
At the end of the meeting, after 8:00 pm, Rasel Al Mahmud said on behalf of the protesters, "We had a meeting with the two advisers of the interim government, Asif Mahmud and Nahid Islam, as the chief adviser was tired. Tomorrow a delegation of ours will meet with the Ministry of Public Administration to implement the demand. He said, 'We discussed for a long time. Immediate notification is not possible. Therefore, there will be a meeting with Public Administration Reform Advisor Abdul Muhith tomorrow to implement the demand. The representatives of the agitators will be present in that meeting.
A report will be released within the next seven days on the effective negotiations that will be held tomorrow to implement the demands.
Another representative Abu Saeed Saad said, 'We are not ending the movement now. But, now we will leave before Yamuna. We will stay at Prajanma Chatwar in front of Shahbagh Museum.'
After that, the agitators left in front of the Yamuna. By doing this, the traffic of Hare Road, which was closed, started.
Earlier at around 3:30 pm in the capital's Hare Road in front of the chief adviser's official residence Yamuna, the protesters said in a press conference that they are the chief adviser. Muhammad wants to meet Yunus. They are not willing to discuss with anyone except the chief advisor.
The agitators said, we have been continuing the agitation for a long time. We got assurances from various people but never implemented. So we don't want to sit with any official or PS. We are the chief advisor of the interim government. I want to meet Muhammad Yunus. I want to talk to him. Otherwise our movement will continue.
The agitators also said that the chief adviser of the interim government is pro-student. He took the responsibility of the state with the trust of the people. If we talk to him, he will accept our demand. We would like to speak to the Chief Counsel to implement our logical demands.
Meanwhile, the interim government has constituted a committee headed by a former secretary to consider the demand for raising the age limit in government jobs.
Today Monday (September 30) the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification, a committee headed by former caretaker government advisor Abdul Mueed Chowdhury has been formed to review and provide recommendations on increasing the age limit for entry into government service.
The committee has been asked to submit a report with recommendations within the next 7 days.
Incidentally, currently the maximum age limit for entry into government jobs is 30 years. And the retirement age is 59 years.
For the last few years, job aspirants have been agitating to increase the age limit for entering the job.
