Noam Shazeer co-authored a groundbreaking paper on AI technology published in 2017. Later, this research paper played an important role in the development, research and overall popularity of AI technology. The Character AI platform was developed using the technological advances mentioned in his research paper.

Character AI was able to bring in $193 million in investment last year and has valued the startup at $1 billion based on valuations by venture capitalists. Late last year, Google also wanted to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in character AI, and discussions about this have progressed somewhat. But it turned out that Google is more interested in hiring the founder, not the organization.
