Jumbangla Desk: Government employees are coming to enjoy three consecutive days of vacation. They can get a total of 3 days off including Durga Puja Vijaya Dashami leave.
Employees have three consecutive days off
Common holidays include Vijaya Dashami on October 13, Durga Puja. That day is Sunday. However, since the previous two days were Friday and Saturday, they can spend 3 consecutive days off. Apart from this, if the private employees arrange a day off on Saturday, they can also spend 3 days off.
As per the government decision, this holiday will be observed in all government and semi-government offices and statutory autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies in the country. However, in the case of offices whose schedules and holidays are regulated by their own laws or in the case of offices, organizations and institutions whose jobs have been declared as essential by the government, the respective offices, organizations and institutions will use this leave considering the public interest according to their own laws.

According to the leave notification, an employee may be allowed to take a maximum total of three days optional leave in a year according to his own religion. Every employee is required to take prior approval of the competent authority for availing three days optional leave as per his religion at the beginning of the year. In that case, on the occasion of Durga Puja, there is an opportunity for Hindus to enjoy three days of optional leave.
