According to sources in Indian media ANI, Govinder was shot in the leg. He was preparing to leave Shiv Sena leader's house at 5 am that day. Then while cleaning his revolver, the bullet accidentally went out and hit him in the knee.

Govinda fell on the ground as soon as the bullet hit. Keep moaning in pain. He was quickly taken to a hospital in Mumbai and admitted to the critical care department.
