Jyotika Jyoti's release was confirmed in a notification signed by Nilufar Yasmin, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration, published on Monday (September 30).
Apart from Jyoti, four other contractual directors of the Shilpakala Academy have been relieved in this notification.
Meanwhile, Jyotika Jyoti feels that she is very 'unburdened' after receiving the exemption letter. A little regret was also heard in his voice.
Posting a picture of the dismissal notification on Facebook, the actress wrote, 'My first government job ended with the notification. The current interim government relieved me of my duties despite my tenure. From today (October 1) I am no longer in charge of the directorship of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
He has written a request to the writers, researchers and publishers who have been associated with him so far, to contact the research and publication department of art if necessary. Besides thanking everyone, he said, 'Thank you to all concerned for giving me new experience in this journey of one and a half years.'
Jyotika Jyoti was appointed as Director of Research and Publications of the Academy on a two-year contract from March 13 last year (2023). After the fall of the government on August 5, he did not appear at the workplace considering the situation.
However, Jyoti went to his workplace on September 17 after receiving the news of the appointment of Syed Jamil Ahmed as the new Director General of Arts. The actress was harassed by her colleagues while going there.
Jyotika Jyoti was relieved from the post of Director of Research and Publication Department of Shilpakala Academy immediately after this incident.
