It is only a matter of time before Hamza Dewan Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi-origin expatriate footballer in England, plays in the red-green jersey. He got his Bangladeshi passport a few days ago. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) sought a no-objection letter from the England Football Association (FA) to get him. After three weeks of waiting, England gave the no-objection letter to Buffett.
Hamza of Bangladesh
Bangladesh football fans are waiting to welcome Hamza Chowdhury. In the meantime, Hamza appeared on FIFA's page, the governing body of world football. FIFA Football World Cup Verified Facebook page posted a picture of Hamza and wrote in the caption, Hamza is the pride of the future of new Bangladesh.
Hamza Chowdhury plays for Leicester City in the English Premier League. His family is Bangladeshi. He wants to play for the Bangladesh national team because of his family and his own wish. Passport was first required to play for Bangladesh national team. Buffett and his family made a joint effort to get the passport.
FIFA will now appeal to FIFA's Player Status Committee to allow Hamza to play for Bangladesh. Buffe will make this application with passport, letter of no objection from England Football Association and some other documents. Hamza will be eligible to play for Bangladesh if the FIFA Player Status Committee gives the green signal.
Earlier Hamza played for England youth team. Playing for a country's youth team requires the permission of their federation to wear the jersey of another country. After getting the passport to Buff, England asked the Football Association for a no-objection letter for Hamza. The England FA has given Hamza a no-objection letter after analyzing Buff's appeal.
