Jumbangla Desk: The court has granted a four-day remand to Tushar Kanti Mandal, the former general secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Awami League in the murder case of gold shop employee Muslim Uddin Milan, who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement. He was remanded three times in a separate murder case.

Rangpur Chief Metropolitan Court Judge Asaduzzaman granted his remand on Tuesday (October 1) morning.


Earlier, investigating officer SI Russell Mia applied for his 10-day remand in the murder case of gold shop employee Muslim Uddin Milan, who was killed in the agitation. After the hearing, the court granted his four-day remand.


On September 29, banana trader Merajul Islam was sent to jail after a 4-day remand in the murder case and today set the date for hearing.


Tushar Kanti Mandal was remanded for 7 days in the murder of Abdullah Al Tahir, who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement, and 4 days in the murder of banana trader Merajul Islam.

There are 11 cases in his name in the Rangpur court regarding the death of students in the anti-discrimination movement.
