Jumbangla Desk: 144 stranded undocumented Bangladeshi citizens have returned home from Benghazi, Libya. They returned home with the all-out efforts of the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, Libya and the direct support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (October 1).


According to the notification, 144 Bangladeshis have been repatriated by a chartered flight of Burak Air at 7 am today. After landing at the airport, these helpless repatriated Bangladeshi citizens were welcomed by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and IOM at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

 


All of them were given 6 thousand rupees by IOM. Apart from that, they are provided with some food items, medical treatment and temporary accommodation if needed.
