Jumbangla Desk: Chief Advisor Dr. Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh Yusuf SY Ramadan paid a courtesy call on Muhammad Yunus.
The press wing of the Chief Adviser informed that the meeting was held today (October 1) at the Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna.
According to the press wing, the meeting discussed mutual interests, global support for the Palestinian state, genocide in Gaza and tensions in the Middle East.
While praising the Chief Adviser's speech at the recent UN session, Palestinian Ambassador Youssef Ramadan said it was timely and created a much-needed spotlight on the Palestinian issue. The ambassador also noted that the Chief Adviser's statement was 'clear'.
Chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus also expressed Bangladesh's continued support for the Palestinian state and its people. He expressed hope that they (Palestinians) will get their desired independent state.
The Ambassador also informed the Chief Adviser that about 60 Palestinian doctors who studied in Bangladesh are now serving patients in Gaza. He said, more than two hundred Palestinian students are waiting for higher education in Bangladesh.
Incidentally, recently in the United States of New York in the speech given at the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus urged the international community to take initiatives to solve the Palestine problem.
