Indian media Hindustan Times reported that Modi himself shared on his X handle about calling Netanyahu on Monday (September 30). In a post about this, he wrote, May peace return quickly to West Asia.


Modi wrote in his X post that he spoke with the Prime Minister of Israel about the recent situation in West Asia. 'Terrorism' has no place in our world. Preventing regional conflicts and ensuring the safe release of all hostages is crucial. India always supports efforts to restore peace and stability


Recently, Israel has been carrying out one attack after another in Lebanon in the name of destroying the armed group Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran. In the meantime, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrullah was killed in their attack. Hezbollah has threatened to retaliate in this incident. There is a danger that the conflict will spread throughout the Middle East.


British news agency Reuters reported that Israel has launched a ground operation in Lebanon since Tuesday (September 1) after several days of airstrikes. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a partial operation targeting Hezbollah in the country's southern border areas.

 


More than 1,000 people have died in the ongoing attacks in Lebanon. Moreover, more than 6 thousand citizens have been injured in the country in the last two weeks. Besides, the number of displaced people is more than 1 million. People fled their homes and took shelter in the open air and on the streets of Jaitun coastal areas.
