Inauguration of Bangladesh Air Force Cyber Security Awareness Month

Jumbangla Desk: Bangladesh Air Force Chief Air Chief Air Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan has inaugurated the cyber security awareness month of Bangladesh Air Force.
The inaugural event was held on Tuesday (October 1) in the auditorium of Air Force Headquarters of Dhaka Cantonment.
At that time, the Air Force Chief said that Cyber Security Awareness Month is being celebrated for the first time in the Air Force. Cyber security is no longer just a technical issue, it is an essential and discussed part of our daily lives.
Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan said the protection of sensitive information is one of the most important benefits of a strong cyber security system and with the increasing number of cyber threats and attacks, it has become imperative for organizations and individuals to strengthen the security of their sensitive information.
By implementing effective cyber security measures we can reduce risk and protect ourselves from potential harm. Cyber security is not just the responsibility of our IT experts, we all need to work together to keep ourselves safe in cyberspace. Through this combined effort, the Air Force will continue to be a pioneer and follower of cyber security best practices, he noted.
Director of Cyber Warfare and Information Technology Directorate served as the chief organizer of the event. The Air Chief appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of Cyber Warfare and Information Technology for taking this initiative and encouraged everyone to be aware and vigilant.
The program was attended by selected officers of Air Force Base-Unit, Air Force and other members. Representatives of bases outside Dhaka joined the program through video conference.
