At around 5:30 am on Tuesday morning, in the responsible area of Cox's Bazar, Ghumdhum of Naikxyongchari Upazila, a special patrol team of BOP recovered 1 kg of crystal meth ice from BOP in Chikon Pata Bagan hill of Tumbru in Ghumdhum Union, northwest of Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
The estimated value of which is known to be 1 crore 40 lakhs. BGB said that the recovered drug crystal meth ice will be deposited at Cox's Bazar battalion headquarters.
In a press release of 34 BGB, it is known that based on secret information, the captain Lt. Colonel Abdullah Al Mashrooqi's leadership conducted the special patrol team of Tumbru BOP in Ghumdhum Union of Naikxyongchari Upazila. At this time, 1 kg of crystal meth ice was recovered. No one could be arrested in this incident. At that time, the drug smugglers fled after receiving the news of the BGB operation.
34 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Abdullah Al Mashrooqi said that the recovered drugs were illegally brought from neighboring Myanmar by border drug smugglers and tried to be smuggled elsewhere. The drug traffickers could not be successful due to BGB's raids and strictness.
