Brahmaputra Express derailed, train movement stopped on Dhaka-Mymensingh route

Jumbangla Desk: The power car compartment of Brahmaputra Express train bound for Dewanganj of Jamalpur derailed in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.
The accident took place on Tuesday (October 1) at around 9:20 pm while crossing Dhala railway station in Trishal. After this incident, train movement on Dhaka-Mymensingh railway has been stopped.
Gafargaon Railway Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Karthik Chandra Roy said that the train coming from Dhaka had no halt at Dhala station. While crossing the station, 4 wheels of the power car of the train derailed around 9:20 pm. It has stopped train movement on Dhaka-Mymensingh railway. Police are going to the scene.
Farooq Hossain Khan, in-charge of Mymensingh Locoshed, said at around 9:50 p.m., 'I have just received information about the derailment of the train. A relief train will be sent to the spot for rescue after detailed inquiry.' However, he could not confirm when the railway will be normal after the rescue work.
