Two shotguns looted from Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) have been recovered. Two weapons were recovered from Kashban adjacent to Lalon Shah Muktamanch in Rajshahi Nagar. A rubber bullet was also found there.
Boalia police station of the city recovered the weapons at around 1 pm on Tuesday.
In a press release of RMP on Wednesday afternoon, it was informed that the locals informed the police after seeing a bag in the forest. Later, Boalia police station conducted a raid and recovered two weapons, a shotgun and a rubber bullet, from the sack.
According to RMP, various police stations, outposts and police boxes including RMP headquarters were attacked on August 5. They looted various government goods including 164 firearms. Out of this, 146 weapons have been recovered so far. The operation of the joint forces to recover the remaining weapons will continue.
