One rider was killed and another injured after losing control of a motorcycle and falling on the road in Ashtagram of Kishoreganj. The accident took place on the Ashtagram-Etna-Mithamain road in Vatshala bridge area of ​​Kastul Union of the upazila around 12:30 noon today.

The deceased is Samrat Talukdar (26). He is the son of deceased Abul Kashem Talukdar of Kalapara village of Ashtagram Upazila Sadar Union. The other seriously injured rider is Hridoy Mia (25) son of Shah Alam of the same village.

Ashtagram Sadar Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Syed Fayaz Hasan Babu confirmed the incident to today's newspaper.

According to local sources, Samrat and Hriday were riding bikes on their way to Mithamain Upazila Sadar and lost control and fell on the road at Vatshala bridge area of ​​Ashtagram-Etna-Mithamain road and got seriously injured. At this time, the pedestrians rescued them and took them to Mithamin Upazila Health Complex. Emperor Talukdar died there while undergoing treatment. He was sent to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital due to his serious heart condition.

Mithamain Upazila Health Complex resident medical officer Nixon Biswas said, 'The emperor died while being treated at the hospital. Hriday was sent to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital in a coma.
