Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan are participating in a tournament together after the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Two star cricketers of Bangladesh will play in the Sixty Strikes tournament organized by the National Cricket League (NCL).
Red Cross is partnering with NCL in this tournament. Profits from the Sixty Strikes tournament, all proceeds will be donated to the charity. This NCL will run from October 4 to October 14 with six teams.
Bangladesh star cricketers Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal will play for different teams in the US National Cricket League. This 6-team tournament will start on October 4 and end on October 14. Tamim will play for the Texas Gladiators. Shakib's team is Los Angeles Waves.
Tamim's team Texas Gladiators will take the field in the opening match at 7:30 pm local time in the United States. They will play against the Dallas Lancasters at the University of Texas Dallas. The next day at 10 am local time Shakib's team Los Angeles Waves will play against the New York Lions. All the matches of the tournament will be held at the same venue.
Shakib and Tamim's team will meet on the third day of the tournament, i.e. October 6 at 10 am local time. If all goes well, the two could be seen together again in a tournament after the BPL.
Tamim Texas Gladiators head coach is former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan. Cricketers like Shahid Afridi, Kushal Perera, Jason Behrendorff, Wahab Riaz, Nick Kelly are getting as teammates.
Shakib's team Los Angeles Waves coach Mickey Arthur. Cricketers like Sri Lanka and Pakistan Tymal Mills, Johnson Charles, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rumman Rice, Harry Tector will play with Shakib.
Shakib's tour of India ended with the Kanpur Test. After some formalities after the game, Shakib took a flight to Dubai. Dubai will spend one or two days in the United States. Although Shakib is playing on the field, Tamim is representing Bangladesh in the commentary room during the tour of India.
