Jumbangla Desk: The wife has been accused of killing her husband Arun Miya (70) due to a family dispute. After the murder, the body was cut into nine pieces for disposal. Later, the wife wrapped the pieces of the body in polythene with a brick and hid it in the septic tank of the neighboring house.

The incident took place in Bancharampur of Brahmanbaria. The incident took place in Fardabad village of Fardabad union of the upazila. Deceased Arun Mia is the son of deceased Suruj Bepari of the same village.

Meanwhile, after the body was lost, the wife announced that her husband had disappeared. Arun Mia was missing since Friday afternoon. Four days after the murder, the police recovered the body's dismembered body around 10 o'clock on Tuesday night. The police arrested the victim's wife Momena Begum, his son Russell and daughter Lucky Akhter in this incident.

According to police and local sources, Arun Mia of Madhyapara of Fardabad village of Upazila Fardabad Union married Taru Mia's daughter Momena Begum in the same village after the death of his first wife about 35 years ago. After the marriage, marital discord continued. Arun Mia has a son named Lutfur Rahman Rubel from his first wife. His second wife had two sons and a daughter. One of them died while working in Dubai.

Arun Mia was living in Gazipur with his son Lutfar Rahman Rubel since 2017. A few months ago, the locals settled with the second wife through arbitration. Since then, Arun Mia mostly stayed at the village house. Arun Mia went missing since last Friday afternoon. His son Lutfar Rahman Rubel filed a missing diary at Bancharampur Model Police Station on Monday. Around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, local residents suspected that the smell was coming out of the septic tank of Monir Hussain, a Saudi expatriate living next door to Arun Mia. Looking inside the tank with torch light, they found some objects wrapped in polythene.

After reporting the matter to the police station, the police came and recovered 9 polythene packets wrapped with bricks around 10 pm. On opening them, his son identified the father's body.

Momena Begum, wife of the deceased, initially confessed to the police about the murder. He said that Arun Mia fell down on the ground when he was hit on the head with a sword during a dispute last Friday afternoon. Later, the body itself was cut into nine pieces, wrapped in polythene, wrapped in a brick and dumped in the septic tank of Monir next door.

Bancharampur Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Sujan Kumar Pal said that Arun Mia's second wife Momena Begum, his son Russell and daughter Lucky have been arrested and brought to the police station.
