Chance of storm in 17 regions of the country including Dhaka

Jumbangla Desk: The Department of Meteorology has said that gusty winds with a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour may blow over 17 regions of the country including the capital Dhaka.

This information was given in a forecast for the country's inland river ports till 1 pm on Thursday (September 3) .

45-60 per hour from south southeast over Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions, according to the forecast. Rain or thundershower with gusty winds at km/h.

As a result, the river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

Regarding Thursday's weather, the weather department said that light to moderate rain or thunder may occur temporarily in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Day temperatures may decrease by 1-2 degrees Celsius across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
