Low pressure forecast, rain may last longer

Jumbangla Desk: As the monsoon is active over Bangladesh, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in most parts of the country.

It is said that the extension of the axis of monsoon extends through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of this is located in the North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay of Bengal. A low pressure is likely to develop over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas during the next 48 hours.
In this situation, rain with thunder may occur in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Wednesday. Also, there may be heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures across the country may drop by one to three degrees Celsius during this time.
Rain is likely to occur in most parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Thursday. Also, there may be heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. During this time, the day temperature across the country may drop by one to two degree Celsius and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged.
Apart from this, in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Friday, there may be rain with thunder in most places of Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Along with this, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions may experience moderate heavy rainfall.
