Jumbangla Desk: Bangla movie megastar Shakib Khan has taken the ownership of Dhaka team in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The name of the team bought for the popular hero's cosmetics and home care company Remark-Harlan is 'Dhaka Capitals'.

Shakib Khan unveiled the logo as the owner of the 'Dhaka Capitals' team at the head office of Remark Harlan in Gulshan on Wednesday (October 2) evening after finalizing the name by the audience's verdict.

He said, "My loved ones and cricket lovers at home and abroad have given many responses to suggest the name of our team in the upcoming BPL." I was really excited to see that. Therefore, our team name has been finalized as 'Dhaka Capitals' by prioritizing everyone's opinion. Shakib Khan also expressed hope that Dhaka Capitals will achieve the desired success with everyone's maximum support and love.

In the globally popular Indian Premier League (IPL), stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla, Shilpa Shetty have owned various teams. Shakib Khan bought a cricket team in BPL as the country's first image star for the upcoming 11th BPL season.
