Human chain of primary school teachers in Shivalay

Manikganj Correspondent: A human chain was held demanding 10% promotion and 10th grade of assistant teachers and 9th grade of head teachers of government primary school in Shivalay of Manikganj.

Hundreds of teachers participated in this human chain in the upazila square on Wednesday afternoon. At the end of the hour-long human chain, he gave a memorandum to the Upazila Nirbahi.

Central Ardash Government Primary School Principal Md. Under the chairmanship of Samsul Haque, Assistant Teacher of Teota Government Primary School and General Secretary of Shibaloy Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association Sarat Chandra Haldar, hundreds of teachers of the upazila participated in the human chain. At that time, the head teacher of Teota Government Primary School and president of Shibaloy Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association. Abdul Khalek, Chota Anulia Government Primary School Head Teacher Alea Ferdowsi, Teacher Asir Uddin Biswas, Nirmal Kumar Sharma, Khorshed Alam etc. spoke.

Speakers demanded salary disparity and promotion and grade improvement for teachers. Teachers are the artisans of making people and they have to struggle to run their families in contemporary times. The speaker also noted that it is not possible to move the country forward by keeping teachers' salary disparity. Urged the government to accept all their demands as soon as possible.
