SB Chief Shah Alam retires honorably

Jumbangla Desk: The head of Special Branch (SB) of the police Md. Shah Alam. He was promoted as Additional IGP from DIG on Wednesday. Two separate notifications have been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs. One is for his promotion , the other is for his retirement from service.
It is said in the notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Abu Saeed, Additional Inspector General of Police (Grade-2) Md. Shah Alam completed 59 years on October 2. According to section 43 (1) (a) of the Government Service Act 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018), retirement from government service is provided. He will get retirement benefits as per rules.
Earlier on October 1, Shah Alam's name was number 5 in the list of 6 people who were made additional IGPs from the Ministry of Public Administration. This BCS 12 batch officer was deprived of promotion during the previous government. He will be on PRL from Thursday.
