Jumbangla Desk: The court has banned former captain of Bangladesh cricket team and former MP of Manikganj-1 constituency Naimur Rahman Durjoy and his wife Farhana Rahman from leaving the country.

On Thursday (October 3), Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Assamach Jaglul Hossain's court gave this order in view of ACC's application. ACC Assistant Director (Prosecution General) Aminul Islam confirmed this information.
On this day, the ACC applied for a ban on their departure.
It is said in the application that the allegation against Naimur Rahman Durjoy of misappropriation of government money through various irregularities and corruption including abuse of power, recruitment trade and acquiring non-income assets known in his own name and in the name of his family members is currently under investigation. The investigation is vital to prevent money laundering in the interest of the state.

During investigation, confidential sources revealed that the accused persons are trying to flee abroad. If they flee abroad, the search operation is likely to be prolonged or disrupted.
