Own Correspondent, Gazipur: In Sreepur, Gazipur, a woman was taken out of her house with her child and the main gate was locked. This incident took place on Tuesday night to occupy the house on the occasion of the woman's husband staying in Dhaka. Later, the woman, who was stationed in front of the house with two children and a younger sister, was taken home by a neighbor in the middle of the night.

The incident took place on Tuesday (October 1) in Baraiderchala village of Ward No. 7 of Sreepur Municipality. The victim woman Ayesha Akhter (28) is the wife of Delwar Hossain of that village. Accused Afir Uddin is a resident of the same village.

Victim Ayesha Akhter said, 'I have been living in this house for two years. This land is gazetted by the forest department. Suddenly local Afir Uddin brought people and beat me out of the house. They looted the furniture of my house and locked the main gate. My husband occupied the house by force while he was in Dhaka. I went to law enforcement, administration and locals throughout the day but got no solution. I took a position under the open sky without finding anyone by my side. They are monitoring me. I am very scared.'

After receiving the news, around 9:30 pm yesterday, Ayesha Akhter was sitting on the ground with a cloth spread in front of the house with her two baby girls and a younger sister. A group of squatters are guarding the area to prevent him from breaking the lock and re-entering the house. Later around 1 am, a neighbor convinced the woman and took them home.

However, Afir Uddin, accused in this regard, said, "I bought this house based on a donation deed from someone." When asked how he bought the government forest land, he did not give any answer.

Shamim Akhter, Inspector (Investigation) of Sreepur Police Station said, 'Police were sent there after receiving a written complaint in this regard. We are investigating the matter.'

When asked about this, Sreepur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sajib Ahmed said that it is inhumane to throw someone out of his house. Both sides have been called to resolve the issue.
