International Desk: The funeral and burial of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Lebanese Resistance Fighter Hezbollah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike, will be held on Friday (October 4).

Iran's state news agency IRNA reported the information on Thursday (October 3) with reference to an Iraqi media.

The burial of the slain Hezbollah chief will take place on Friday, Iraqi media outlet Sabrin News reported on Thursday morning, citing an unidentified special source.

The media did not provide details on the time and location of the funeral for Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in a residential area in the suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut last Friday.

According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an order from the United Nations office in New York to kill the head of Hezbollah with the support of the United States.

Following the order, Israeli warplanes dropped 2,000,000 pounds of US-supplied bombs on densely populated areas of Beirut. Nasrallah was killed there along with many other civilians.

Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, who served as the secretary general of the Hezbollah resistance movement for 32 years, was killed in an Israeli attack at the age of 64.
