We've been robbed at Cpl: Andre Russell

A strange incident occurred in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as the floodlights went off. The incident stopped the game for two hours. Then the Trinbago Knight Riders burned their foreheads in the DLS method. The Knights were knocked out of the CPL after losing the eliminator match against the Barbados Royals. After that, the team's star all-rounder Andre Russell expressed his anger.

Three of the six floodlights at Guyana's Providence Stadium were switched off during the match on Wednesday Bangladesh time. Then Trinbago picked up 168 runs in 19.1 overs. Nicholas Puran is 9 runs away from the century. When play resumed after two hours, Barbados Royals were set a target of 60 runs in five overs using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern system. David Miller's explosive fifty chased down the target and Barbados won easily.
Later, in a message on Instagram Stories, Andre Russell complained, 'I'm not the kind of guy to come on the internet and yell. But this year in CPL I feel we have been robbed. The light situation was a robbery, the light return just before the last over was a robbery and then the 60 from 30 balls was an even bigger robbery.
Trinbago captain Kieron Pollard, of course, expressed only disappointment, saying, 'Everyone agreed that it would have been dangerous to start playing before those three floodlights (towers) came back on and if someone gets injured while playing cricket, be it because of the lights or for whatever reason, it's up to each of us. For that would have been worse. There were situations to end the match within regulation and finally here we are.'
