Lifestyle Desk: Farewell to winter and arrival of summer. The temperature of the sun is increasing. However, even if it is not hot enough to continue using the AC, start using the AC very soon. However, since the AC has been off for the last three to four months, there may be various problems. It is normal to suddenly turn on the AC and increase the electricity bill.

AC settings

However, you can reduce your electricity bill by making some changes in AC settings. Know more things to watch out for-

>> Many people keep doors and windows open even when using AC. As a result, the room takes longer to cool down. What happens is that the electric bill goes up. So close the door and window of the room before using the AC.

>> 24°C Cut Off Rate cut off means the setting in which the AC will automatically switch off after a certain period of time. If the cut-off rate is set at 24 degrees Celsius, the room will cool down quickly, and once done, the AC will turn off. Will run again when the room warms up. AC power consumption in this mode will also lighten the electric bill.

>> You can set the timer. You can set a timer for 2-3 hours while going to sleep at night. Even after falling asleep, the AC will keep the room cool for a while. As a result, there will be no shortage of coolness in the house. It will be closed after a while, if it doesn't run all night, the electric bill will be less.

>> AIR FILTER SERVICING Air filters keep AC dust away so it runs smoothly. It traps dust and allows the clean air inside the AC to cool. With daily use these filters accumulate dust and make it difficult for the AC to get air inside which often leads to high power consumption. In this case, if the filter is kept clean, the AC will run properly, it will not consume more power, and the bill will be lower. If the air filters are old, replace them promptly.

>> Do AC servicing regularly with other servicing rules. It will clean the coils, check if the coolant is working properly or not. If the AC runs smoothly, the power consumption will not be high, the electric bill will also come down.
