The injured businessman died one and a half months after the accident

Own Correspondent, Gazipur: Businessman Siraj Uddin (75), who was injured after being hit by a battery-operated auto-rickshaw in Sreepur, Gazipur, died after undergoing treatment for about one and a half months. On Thursday (October 3) afternoon, the deceased's son Ashin Sheikh Saddam confirmed the matter .
After a month and a half, the businessman injured in the accident died
Earlier, he died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday (02 October) night. The accident took place in Sreepur Sabuj Bagh area of Sreepur-Gosinga regional road after Maghrib on August 17.
The deceased Siraj Uddin is the son of deceased Abdur Rahman Sheikh of Sabuj Bagh area of Sreepur village of Sreepur municipality. He was an old grocer and drink shopkeeper of Sreepur Bazar.
Ashin Sheikh Saddam, the son of the deceased, said that on August 17, my father was returning home after Maghrib prayers at Paka Jame Masjid in Sripur. At that time, an autorickshaw speeding recklessly from behind hit him and dragged him about 100 feet. He was rescued and taken to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries. Later he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. He died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment there for 1 month and 16 days.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sreepur police station said that someone informed the police station about the incident. Further legal action will be taken in the matter after inquiry and in view of the application of the deceased's relatives.
