21 point demand of Bangladesh Film Development Forum

Entertainment Desk: 'Bangladesh Film Development Forum' has been formed with film related people including producers-directors-artists for the development of films. Film producer Samsul Alam has been announced as the convener and film director Shaheen Sumon as the member secretary of the partial committee. The full committee will be announced soon.

The organization made its debut on Wednesday (October 2). On the first day, the organization made 21-point demands to the interim government. At the same time, the manifesto announced the cancellation of the current Film Certification Board and National Film Award Jury Board.

This information was given in a press conference at the office of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) yesterday.

The 21-point demands also include- establishment of central server by the government, e-ticketing, renovation of cinema halls, arrangement of bank loans for selection of films, introduction of honors-masters course in film, publication of short list before film grants, grant of film grants to genuine producer-directors, free from controversy. National film awards, end of political quota film grant system, formulation of world class film policy, housing for landless filmmakers.

Convener of Bangladesh Film Development Forum Samsul Alam, Vice President of Film Artists Association and Joint Convenor of the Forum DA Taib, Joint Convener Actor Omar Sani, Executive Member of the Forum Actor Aliraj, Executive Member of the Artists Association and Joint Convenor of the Forum Nana Shah, Joint convener of the forum is film producer AJ Rana, joint member secretary Simon Tarek, actor Hazrat Ali (Bhutto), film producer Peter Chowdhury and many others.

Joint convener of the forum, film producer director Iqbal Hossain Joy, joint member secretary of the forum, film director Manjurul Islam Megh, president of Dance Directors Association Aziz Reza, actress Shabnam Parveen, Kaya Chowdhury, Sarmin Akhtar, film producer Abdur Rahman, film historian were present in the press conference. Sani Alam, general secretary of the association, Zahidul Islam, general secretary of the film management association, Saiful Islam, dance director, Monirul Islam, executive member of the forum, Mehdi Hasan Masum, president of the film audience forum, are related to film.
