The activities of the Parliament Secretariat are not yet normal. Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country in the face of student coup on August 5. The angry students also entered the Ganobhaban and Sangsad Bhaban and expressed their anger. Then the Speaker of Parliament went into hiding. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury. He resigned on September 2.

Earlier on August 15, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, was arrested by law enforcement officers from a house in the capital. On August 14, the then senior secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, KM Abdus Salam, canceled the contractual appointment. The current interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. Dr. as the new secretary in his place. Md. Anwar Ullah was appointed.

According to sources, Dr. from the position of Speaker. Despite the appointment of a new secretary in the changed political situation with the resignation of Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury, the arrest of Deputy Speaker Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, the activities of the Parliament Secretariat have practically not normalized yet. The activities of the Parliament Secretariat have practically come to a standstill as a result of the anger-protest, factionalism, face-to-face stand and many of them changing bowls at night among the officers and employees working there.

According to sources, during the 15-year rule of Sheikh Hasina, Parliament Secretariat was under the sole control of pro-Awami officials like other places of administration. They have taken various unethical benefits including corruption, nepotism, convenient postings, housing benefits. After the political change, a list of pro-BNP officials working in the Parliament Secretariat was made.

Although complaints have already been raised, many of those who are currently leading the Awami League are the beneficiaries of the last 15 years. Forming an unelected committee without any election, they are contesting in the hope of gaining the favor of the current secretary. Some have already started extorting money from various contractors affiliated to the Parliament Secretariat by identifying themselves as pro-BNP. Also, many innocent officers working in the Parliament Secretariat have started transfer proceedings against the employees in political guise, without complaint.

It is known that some officials and employees are preparing the list of various employees working in the Parliament Secretariat. After this list is given to the higher authorities without proper scrutiny and they are being harassed. Again taking benefits from the corrupt and saving them. An official of the Parliament Secretariat, who did not wish to be named, told Jugantar on Thursday that there is anger and dissatisfaction in the Parliament Secretariat due to unnecessary transfer and harassment of many innocent officials. He also claimed that there is a danger of a bloody conflict at any time.

According to the official, those who were the beneficiaries of Awami League for the last 15 years and after the change of power changed the bowl overnight and threatened and harassed the ordinary officials and employees of BNP. BNP supporters are being affected by this.

It is known that after OSD of 12 related officials, the mass transfer process has started. About 1200 officers and employees are working in the Parliament Secretariat. The issue of using them for any other purpose without keeping them seated may also come up. Because only Accounts Branch, Budget Branch, Human Resources Branch, Administration Branch, Common Branch are not working at this moment. There are about 56 committees in the Parliament Secretariat. These committees also have no activities. But there are officers and employees. Those who are sitting and taking salary. And they themselves are busy with factionalism.

However, the vandalism of Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on August 5 has caused a loss of around 90 lakh rupees including public and private funds. These figures were revealed in a discussion meeting on the overall situation of the Parliament building on September 4. Actions to deal with the post-accident situation were highlighted in the meeting. The Parliament Secretariat has not yet overcome this wound.

In that meeting, three committees to strengthen the overall security of Sangsad Bhavan, Sangsad Member Bhavan (Manik Mia and Nakhal Para), Old MP Hostel, Minister Hostel, Secretary Hostel and Sangsad Bhavan residential area and take necessary measures by inspecting the broken, lost and damaged goods in those areas. is formed. The committee was directed to inspect the damaged and piled goods on site and submit them to the affidavit. It was also decided to take necessary measures to urgently repair damaged computers, printers, scanners, internet connections, telephone exchanges, lines and sets in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhawan. But still there has not been much success in this work due to factionalism of officials and employees.
