Pakistan national team cricketer Usman Qadir has announced his retirement from international cricket. The Pakistani leg-spinner announced this in a post on his social media on Thursday.

Usman Qadir expressed his gratitude to his coach, teammates and fans and said, "It was a matter of pride for me to represent Pakistan." I am grateful for the way coaches and friends have guided me every step of the way. And the love and support of the fans was always with me.

Usman Qadir says he will carry on the legacy of his father, the legendary leg-spinner Abdul Qadir, even after his retirement.

He said, 'Even after retiring from cricket, I will continue my father's legacy. The spirit of Pakistan cricket will always be with me'.


With this announcement, Usman Qadir ended his international career and reiterated his commitment to contribute to cricket in his father's name.

31-year-old Usman Qadir has played only one ODI and 25 T20Is for the Pakistan national team. Among them, he took 31 wickets at an average of 18.5 and an economy of 7.95 in T20Is, but his number of wickets was only one in ODIs.
