A union parishad member has been accused of raping a housewife in Lalpur village of Sunamganj Sadar upazila. The woman complained that a press conference was held at an office of the city's Municipal Market on Thursday afternoon.

At that time, he demanded the arrest of accused Gourarang Union Parishad member Momin Mia.

In the press conference, he complained that on September 6, UP member Momin Mia called him to his neighbor's house to give him a disability allowance card. Later, when the owner of the house and his wife locked the door from outside, UP member Mumin Mia forcibly raped the woman. At that time, he recorded the video of the rape.

Meanwhile, the woman filed a complaint at Sunamganj Sadar police station accusing UP member Mumin Mia and the accused couple in this incident.

OC Nazmul Haque of Sadar police station said that action will be taken subject to the investigation of the complaint.

When UP member Momin Mia was called several times on the mobile to inquire about the
