The Women's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates is going up today with the Bangladesh-Scotland match. However, if all goes well, this match was supposed to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. Due to the political situation in Bangladesh, the ICC later moved to the United Arab Emirates. However, even if the event is moved, Bangladesh remains the host.
Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of Bangladesh and a delegation from the Ministry went on a tour to the UAE to visit the venue and ICC Academy activities ahead of the World Cup.
