75 army officers from 21 countries have come on a special training trip to Karamjal in Sundarbans. They came to Karamjal in Sundarbans and visited there for an hour and left the Karamjal tourist spot at 12 noon.
East Sundarbans Karamjal Wildlife Breeding and Tourism Center Officer-in-Charge Howladar Azad Kabir gave this information on Wednesday night.
He said that there were 75 senior army officers from 21 countries including Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Africa, Kuwait, Qatar and Nepal who came to Karmjal of Sundarbans on Wednesday afternoon for special training. Some of the officials were accompanied by their family members.
A very high-level team comprising 85 officers and their families, trainees of the Defense Services Command and Staff College, traveled to Karamjal on a special training tour. A letter signed by Lt. Commander Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan was given on behalf of the Khulna Naval Region Commander on September 29 to make necessary preparations for the visit of these officials.
In that letter, the visiting foreign army officers are asked to ensure overall security, show sightseeing places and provide English language commentary, arrange rooms for emergency medical services, washrooms and ensure cleanliness of the surrounding area, he said.
At the end of the trip, they expressed their satisfaction with the safety of the forest guards along with praising the wonderful beauty of the Sundarbans.
