The two leaders of Upazila Awami League arrested on Tuesday evening in Bagatipara of Natore got bail. They were produced in Bagatipara Amli Court of Natore District Judge Court around 12:30 PM on Wednesday and got bail.

The bailees are Upazila Awami League vice-president and former UP chairman, head teacher Abdul Wahab and joint secretary Khalekuzzaman Khalek. Abdul Wahab's family members confirmed the matter.

According to the police, a case was filed against the leaders and activists of Awami League and its affiliated organizations on August 27 this year on charges of attacking a BNP program on March 5, 2022 and possessing explosives.

The plaintiff in the case is Abdus Salam of Perabaria Mohalla of Upazila. It names 45 people and 30-40 others are named as accused.

Bagatipara police station arrested two of them from Dayarampur area in that case and sent them to court on Wednesday morning.

At that time Inspector (Investigation) of Bagatipara Model Police Station Benazir Ahmed confirmed the arrest.
