Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Hatirjheel police station has rescued Maqsood Parvez who was kidnapped in Hatirjheel of the capital and arrested the three abductors.

The arrested are Md Maruf Hossain, Md Faisal and Md Farhad Hossain.

On Wednesday (October 2), they were arrested in a raid at Ulan Matbar Bari Road of Hatirjheel police station.

On Tuesday (October 1), Maqsood Parvez was abducted by some terrorists on Ulan Matbar Bari Road in Hatirjheel and held for ransom. On receiving information, a team of Hatirjheel police station conducted a raid there. Sensing the presence of the police, the abductors fled with Maqsood's mobile phone and Tk 14,500 in cash in his wallet. Police rescued Maksud.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, the kidnappers demanded Tk 50,000 from Maqsood to return his mobile phone and wallet. He quickly informed the matter to Hatirjheel police station. Hatirjheel Thana police arrested the kidnappers by raiding Ulan Matbar Bari Road at noon.

In this incident, Hatirjheel police station is taking legal action.
