Jumbangla Desk: Expatriate Bangladeshi Abul Mansoor Abdus Sabur won 20 million dirhams (more than 65 crores in Bangladeshi currency) in Dubai lottery in United Arab Emirates.
Dubai-based media "Khaliz Times" reported this information on Thursday.
This 50-year-old Bangladeshi is working as a delivery rider in Abu Dhabi. He participated in Big Ticket Lottery for 17 long years. But never won. Finally he and some of his friends bought five tickets. One of them got an award this time.
After winning the prize, authorities called Mansoor from the raffle draw event. He was elated with the news of winning. Mansoor could not believe that he won such a big lottery.
When asked what he will do with this prize money, he said, he will help his family with this money. Also, his long-time dream is to start his own business.
'I am so excited that I am at a loss for words,' added Mansoor.
Meanwhile, Big Ticket has started selling lottery tickets for the new phase on October 2. One winner per day from ticket buyers will receive a gold bar. Apart from this, a grand draw will be organized on November 3 with tickets for the entire month. On that day, the name of the top prize winner of 2 crore dirhams will be announced.
