Jumbangla Desk: Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, former Member of Parliament of Naogaon-1 Constituency and former Food Minister, has been remanded for seven days.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuddin Hossain's court granted remand on Friday (October 4).

Earlier, the investigating officer of the case, Badda police station sub-inspector Syed Imrul Saheed applied to remand him for 10 days.

Ramiz Uddin Rup (21), a student of computer science department of Daffodil University, was granted remand in the case of shooting him dead in Karuran Bazar area of ​​Tejgaon police station of the capital during the anti-discrimination student movement.

The former minister was arrested from the capital's Bashundhara residential area on Thursday night.
